Previously, OL Reign and Nationwide have come together through a shared commitment to make a positive impact in the community, on and off the field. “In addition to traditional sponsorship components, the upcoming pet food supply drive is a terrific way to engage supporters, support a local animal adoption organization and let fans know that Nationwide offers protection for their pet family members.” “We look forward to the many on- and off-the-pitch opportunities this new club partnership presents for Nationwide, OL Reign, and the Seattle community,” said Jim McCoy, associate vice president of sports marketing for Nationwide. “Not only are we aligned in our values, but we’ve had an incredible experience working side by side with their staff for two seasons through Nationwide’s Community Impact Award Program and it feels natural to expand our partnership to showcase the passion our players and community have for animal wellness.” “We are very excited to build upon our partnership with Nationwide,” said OL Reign CEO Vincent Berthillot. Rodriguez shares his new Seattle home with his wife and their 14-year-old son, as well as Goli, a four-year-old Giant Schnauzer mix, who they rescued from a shelter. “I come with a lot of compassion for our community, for the pets and the pet owners who we serve here,” he said. Because of that experience, he would like to host community spay, neuter, and vaccine clinics and partner with local veterinarians to bring those services to the community. Rodriguez was looking into vaccinations and other services and found it difficult to find low-cost veterinary care. His interest in animal services began as he was being a responsible pet owner. His service area was 32 times larger than the City of Seattle and he managed three separate shelters located an hour’s drive from each other. Rodriguez brings 12-years’ experience in the field, most recently serving as the Operations Manager for the Santa Barbara County Animal Services Division.
